Extending ATL campaigns into social-first ads

Budget Direct (BD) is one of Australia’s leading advertisers, wowing audiences with engaging creative campaigns that highlight the brand’s value proposition using entertainment and barely believable catastrophes to demonstrate why consumers don’t have to worry when their insurance is solved with BD. Their challenge was how to extend their fantastic ATL efforts into the social-sphere where their TV assets were previously resized and cut-down for social. While this worked well to a point, the brand was seeking new ways to rejuvenate its approach to social to maximise attention and drive conversions.

Social Extensions

The Hello team works alongside BD’s brand and performance teams annually to develop a suite of social-first video and static ad extensions that leverage themes, characters and messaging from the ATL campaign suite. These assets have helped the brand transform efforts across social, reducing CPMs, CPCs and driving conversions through to their website. This partnership is now in it’s third year running.
